Our recreational training programme encompasses 2 distinct levels:
  • Certificates of Completion (Modules 1 through 17), and
  • Certificates of Competency (modules 18 through 21)
Completion of the following courses will entitle you to Certificates of Completion which are accepted by all major Yacht Charter companies and in addition, most insurance companies offer discounted premiums holders of these qualifications.

• Introduction to Yachting - Module 1 - experience the joys of life on the ocean.
• International Crew (Power or Sail) - Modules 2 to 6 - become a competent crew member.
• VHF Radio Operator - Module 7 - legally operate VHF and HF radios.
• International Watchkeeper/Flotilla Skipper (Power or Sail) - Modules 8 to 12 - take charge of a watch at sea.
• International Bareboat Skipper (Power or Sail) - Modules 14 to 17 - take command of a bareboat yacht anywhere in the world.

The following Certificates of Competency are professional certificates and are recognised internationally:

• Master of Yachts < 200 GT (Coastal Yachtmaster Power or Sail) - Module 18
• Master of Yachts < 200 GT (Offshore Yachtmaster Power or Sail) - Modules 19 & 20
• Master of Yachts < 200 GT (Ocean Yachtmaster Power or Sail) - Module 21
